As a Backend Developer at TinyOwl, you will brainstorm on challenging and innovative technical problems, which satiate a programmer’s innate desire: to solve! As part of the back-end team you will ideally look into all aspects of the app. At TinyOwl you can take part in multiple verticals- maybe suggest a cool tagline for the next marketing campaign or help operations team out of a dilemma! All ideas are welcome!

This position is located in our Andheri, Mumbai office.  

What you will do at TinyOwl:

The backend written in ROR - is no child’s play. It throws up multiple challenges that include handling complex menu structures, dish level search and complex geo spatial queries for better results. But it doesn’t stop here, further ahead lie problems like personalization, dish reviews and ratings, making menus simple and personal. All of which continuously strive to make the food ordering process easier and convenient. At TinyOwl we use agile development, which means you develop, test, deploy, get feedback from users and go back to development.

Required Skills:

  1. A capability for a great learning curve

  2. A clear understanding of data structures, algorithms and databases

  3. Knowledge of MVC, RoR, JavaScript or Git is appreciated

Being a food lover would be an added bonus. An appreciation for XKCD comics doesn’t hurt either!
